U.S. Stamps
Canada Buy
Over the centuries many Christian leaders have chosen to demonize science, while those in the scientific camp see Christianity as irrelevant or irrational. Both sides of this debate are short changing themselves. Why x 2 explains why.

Selling US postage stamps, U.S. graded stamps, Canadian stamps, and Newfoundland mint postage stamps to discerning stamp collectors. We are also large buyers of high quality, pre-1940 mint stamps from these countries. For the last 35 years Croton Stamp Co.,
owned and operated by Thomas Vaillancourt, has
endeavored to be a very different kind of stamp dealer. Yes, we sell
US stamps, Canada stamps, and
Newfoundland stamps to collectors by mail, as well as publish one of
the few stamp newsletters in the industry about U.S.
stamps and Canadian postage stamps. However, in order to transform the above verse
into some kind of business reality, we developed a business model that offers
the stamp collector a unique service that guarantees his security, peace of
mind, and satisfaction. Put simply, we want the collector
to get what they think they are getting. All too often collectors
get stamps in the mail they have obtained in online auctions that do not
correspond to the auction's description. We think the old fashioned way--that
the seller should deliver what they say they are going to deliver. None of this
"caveat emptor" (let the buyer beware). That is the unspoken business assumption
that is so prevalent in today's market place. In contrast,
we offer a wantlist service for collectors of mint U.S., Canada, and
Newfoundland stamps. This is how it works: To guarantee your satisfaction, we need to enlist your cooperation. First, we need a clear description of what you want. Click here to fill out our online wantlist service form. Second, we encourage our customers to have realistic expectations. Many collectors would like to obtain XF condition stamps at half the market price for them. That's what drives so many collectors to Ebay. But there are a number of dealers that prey on that type of collector by selling altered and doctored stamps (without describing them as such) that appear to be in XF condition, but aren't. We don't doctor up our stamps to be what they are not, and we filter out those kinds of stamps from our inventory so they will not arrive at your door from us. See our "Altered Stamps" page for more information. Although many of the stamps we sell are accompanied with philatelic
certificates of authenticity, we are now offering U.S.
graded stamps accompanied with a PSE certificate containing a numerical
grade for that individual stamp. This grade is a score of the stamp's centering
condition less points for any faults or detracting factors that the stamp may
possess. The maximum score a stamp can obtain is 100 or 100J (if the stamp
possesses jumbo margins). This is an additional way of providing an individual
stamp with an objective condition description. Many stamp sellers attach
erroneous or inflated descriptions to the stamps they are trying to sell in an
attempt to get a higher price. By offering graded stamp certificates, the
certifying agencies are providing objective stamp descriptions. We applaud
Professional Stamp Experts (PSE) in California and the Philatelic Foundation
(PF) in New York City for their efforts in this area. By offering
graded stamps, Croton Stamp Co. is taking one step
further in it's efforts in insure that our customers
are getting what they think they are getting when they buy one of
our stamps. For more information on graded stamps, see our
online stamp newsletter. You may also wish to check out our sister web site at: www.PostersFromTheHeart.com. It is a source of inspirational posters and fine art prints, as well as offering a superb photo editing service. Many thanks, Thomas Vaillancourt, President and Webmaster
